Cushman/Amberg Communications Appoints New Account Director
(Chicago) – Cushman/Amberg Communications has promoted Katie Hasse to account director in the Chicago office. In this new role, she will be responsible for leading her account teams, managing day-to-day client contact, and developing and implementing strategies for clients. Hasse, who joined the agency in 2005, previously worked as a senior consultant. During her time with Cushman/Amberg, she has worked on communications programs for such companies as Brunswick Bowling, Brunswick Billiards, Life Fitness, GE Healthcare Financial Services and Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. Hasse’s expertise includes extensive knowledge of event planning, media relations, written communications and social media.
Cushman/Amberg Communications Strengthens Senior Leadership
(Chicago) – Cushman/Amberg Communications is pleased to announce that Karyn Odway has been promoted to vice president in the company’s Chicago office. Odway, who previously served as an account director, has been with the agency since 2007. She has extensive experience in media relations, crisis communications, strategic planning, message development and brand communications. Her industry experience includes healthcare, business-to-business and corporate communications. Odway began her public relations career as a spokesperson for the University of Chicago Hospitals. She then worked independently as a media relations strategist with clients such as Loyola University Health Systems, Protected Tomorrows, Inc., and Erikson Institute. Prior to that, she spent 14 years as a television journalist, working as an anchor and reporter.
Cushman/Amberg named "Best PR Agency" by the St. Louis Small Business Monthly

St. Louis Small Business Monthly has named Cushman/Amberg its “2008 Best Public Relations Agency,” capping a strong year for the firm in Missouri. Amberg Honored by PRSA
(Chicago) – Thomas L. Amberg, president and CEO of Chicago-based Cushman/Amberg Communications Inc., was recently welcomed into the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) prestigious College of Fellows. Amberg is one of 15 new inductees, bringing the College of Fellows to a total of 436 out of the nearly 22,000 PRSA members.
Cushman Awarded High Honor
(Chicago) – Aaron D. Cushman, founder of Cushman/Amberg Communications,
was presented with a lifetime achievement award by the Florida Public Relations Association at a reception in Sarasota, Fla. The award, presented by the association’s central west coast chapter, recognized Aaron as a formidable leader and praised his continuing efforts in the public relations industry. Aaron is the award’s first recipient.
